Terms & Conditions

The terms we work under — quotes, payment, warranty, access and cancellation.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

These terms apply to work carried out by Kenner Lock & Key, a licensed locksmith firm operating under Louisiana State Fire Marshal licensed.

1. Quotes and pricing

  • Prices published on this site are ranges. Your quote will be a single figure given before we attend.
  • The quoted total includes our $39 service call unless we say otherwise.
  • The quote does not change unless we find something materially different on arrival. If we do, we stop, explain it, and you approve the revised figure before any work continues.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days.

2. If we cannot complete the work

If we attend and cannot open or complete the job, you pay the $39 service call and nothing further. This occasionally happens with locks already drilled by others, vehicles requiring a manufacturer-only reset, or safes with a fired relocker. We will tell you what the job needs and, where we can, who is able to do it.

3. Proof of ownership and authority

We are required to confirm you are entitled to access the property or vehicle before we work on it. We will ask for photo identification and evidence connecting you to the address or vehicle. If that evidence cannot be provided, we will decline the work and the service call remains payable. This protects you as much as it protects us.

4. Payment

  • Payment is due on completion.
  • We accept major cards. An itemised invoice is issued for every job.
  • Where a card payment is declined, work already completed remains payable.

5. Warranty

  • Labour is warranted for [warranty period] from the date of the invoice.
  • Hardware we supply carries the manufacturer warranty, which we will pass through.
  • The warranty does not cover damage from forced entry, flooding, storm damage, subsequent third-party work, or ordinary wear.
  • Warranty claims should be raised with us first so we can inspect the work.

6. Damage

We open locks non-destructively wherever it is possible. Where drilling or any other destructive method is the only option, we will tell you and obtain your agreement before proceeding. We carry general liability insurance and workers’ compensation as Louisiana licensing requires. Pre-existing damage, and damage caused by earlier attempts by others, is not our responsibility.

7. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time before we are dispatched at no cost. If we have already travelled to the address, the $39 service call is payable.

8. Access and safety

We may decline or stop work where a site is unsafe, where authority to access is unclear, or where we have genuine reason to believe the work would be unlawful. We may decline work involving a dispute over occupancy or possession until the position is documented.

9. Advice given in good faith

We often tell customers a job does not need us, or can be handled with inexpensive hardware. That advice is given in good faith based on what we can see, and it is not a survey, an inspection report, or a guarantee of security.

10. Complaints

Raise it with us first — email hello@kennerlockandkey.com. If we cannot resolve it, you may contact the Better Business Bureau or the Louisiana Attorney General’s consumer protection division. Our licence number is on every invoice.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.
